Our cats and kittens are fostered with love on St. Croix and can be adopted directly from RCC to families in most mainland U.S. states. We coordinate their trip home with travelers flying from St. Croix, and they travel safely in the aircraft cabin, under the seat—never as cargo.

Compatible kittens can play, learn and expend kitten energy together, and some foster pairs are already especially close. When two are a good match, adopting together can make the transition to a new home easier—and they can usually travel together in one carrier.

Many RCC kittens didn't start life in a home. They came to us orphaned, injured, abandoned, or otherwise unable to survive safely without help. Our foster caregivers give them veterinary care, stability and socialization so they can become wonderful companions.

A REAL CRUZAN KITTY AT HOME
FROM HOMER TO DALE.
In 2019, a tiny fluffy black kitten was found on St. Croix with eyes that had never developed. RCC rescued him along with two other cats from the same location. We called him Homer.
After foster care and veterinary planning, he met a family who fostered to adopt him. They named him Dale. Seven years later, Dale is still thriving in his forever home with his family and feline sister.
Adoption isn't the end of a rescue story. It's the beginning of the life we were trying to make possible.
